Air India pilot unions write to Hardeep Singh Puri about salary cuts

The Indian Pilots Guild and Indian Commercial Pilots Association (which represent pilots of  Air India and erstwhile Indian Airlines) have written to Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, exhorting that the working conditions of the pilots of Air India group companies need to be viewed with compassion.

Pilots from Air India and Air India Express have been involved in  the Vande Bharat Mission, to repatriate Indian citizens from foreign countries.

“The recently imposed policies implemented by the Air India Board imposing steep, disproportionate and retrospective pay cuts specifically targeting pilots across Air India as well as Air India Express and Alliance Air are one such example,” , the letter quotes.

Though under the same parent Air India group, Air India Express and Alliance Air are also similarly affected by the pay cuts. For the full story, click on the link below.
